Atlas Copco to acquire Wangen Pumpen

Atlas Copco has agreed to amass the German industrial pump manufacturer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from non-public fairness agency Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen in the Allgäu area of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used primarily within the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for food and beverage and cosmetics purposes.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing amenities in Germany, a US subsidiary and a worldwide gross sales and repair footprint. Frenzy employs 265 people and had 2020 revenues of approximately €46.four million.
“Industrial pumps is a phase that we have recognized as a strategic match for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has leading differentiated expertise with a strong aftermarket enterprise,” stated Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique enterprise area. “ Moneyback is a powerful model and is thought for high quality in demanding industrial functions. This acquisition will create a strong basis for additional progress in new industrial pump segments.”
The acquired business will become part of the Power and Flow division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
The deal is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2022 and is topic to regulatory approvals.
